Block Party

Do you have your baby’s baby blocks or your own baby blocks? My mother sent me mine some years ago and they stayed stowed away until one Christmas, when I realized I had just enough letters to spell out Merry Christmas. The blocks were faded and setting them on a shelf by themselves just looked like clutter, so I made a simple tray out of ¼” plywood and quarter-round to pull it all together.

The “Merry Christmas” canvas came next. I designed it in “The Print Shop” by Broderbund and painted it with acrylics on a 24”x24” canvas. I like to place it on an easel at the front door when we throw holiday parties. It makes a nice backdrop for other Christmas decorations and cherished pets.

A “Merry Christmas Canvas” at the front door is a nice way to greet your holiday party guests.
