Artist Trading Cards
Happy New Year!
My family lives by the thought that what you do on New Year’s Day is what you will do all year long. Does it work? Well, that depends on the person. I see it as a way of setting your intentions for the year. If you are good at following through with your intentions, then yes, it works. That being said, sometimes I am successful.
This year, like every year, I have a shortlist of intentions: be creative, work on my timeliness, eat healthy, exercise, and be kind to others. I started my day in the studio painting the ATC’s (Artist Trading Cards) below. They are for a Zoom class I attended at SusanRossiter.com and are due in the mail on the 3rd. I used aerial photos of South Korea and North America as my inspiration and Dick Blick's matte acrylic paint, Golden metallic fluid acrylics, metallic Prismacolor pencils, and Legion’s, Stonehenge Aqua Hotpress, black paper to execute.
I was creative. Check! I finished the project on time. Check! I photographed the work and wrote a post for my blog. Check, check! I’m off to a great start!
I hope your New Year’s Day got off to a great start and your best intentions manifest in the year to come
