Repurposed Vintage Linens Make Perfect Pillows for the Bungled Bungalow
Vintage Linens are always a thrift store “favorite find” of mine, and the linens I made these pillows out of are no exception. I don’t like all things 1970s, but I am drawn to nubby linen napkins with printed borders. Their earthy simplicity transcends time, but the condition I find them in isn’t always suitable for use at the table. I discovered “Retro Clean” several years ago at a local quilt store, and it has helped me save many linens from being exiled to the rag bin, but occasionally, I’m left with a few stubborn stains that refuse to lift out. I usually try to make the best of a bad situation when this happens, and that’s how these pillows came to be.
A nice feature of the printed border is that stitching along the inner edge creates a perfectly coiffed flange pillow.
